Is your business currently using the debut version of the Windows 10 operating system? If so, be prepared: Microsoft is planning to end support for version 1507 in March.

At this time, all devices using version 1507 will be required to upgrade to the new 1607 model. Version 1507 will continue to work after the March deadline. However, companies that continue using it will no longer receive critical vulnerability patches.  So all businesses running the debut version of Windows 10 are highly encouraged to comply with the upgrade.

This is a significant announcement from Microsoft, as it’s the first time Windows 10 users will be forced to make a critical upgrade in order to continue receiving support. Thus far, IT administrators have been allowed to continue using the debut version of Windows 10 without any issues. This, however, is changing as Microsoft is in the process up expediting its release and retire schedule.
